So far 2016 has been good to Italian Sportswear brand Fila, they collaborated with a number of well known brands and designers such as Urban Outfitters and Gosha Rubchinskiy as well as the launch of a vintage-inspired footwear collection earlier this month. The Fila renaissance can be credited to the recent vintage sportswear craze that seems to be dominating instagram feeds and runways alike, but it’s also largely due to Fila’s new South Korean ownership.
Fila’s new line “FILA Black” was released earlier last week which draws inspiration from 90’s rap and R&B Era and the artists that initially helped the brand align itself within Hip Hop culture. Using a vibrant palette of bright colors and bold graphics, FILA Black Line has created a nostalgic collection for both women and men.
We’re happy to see the revival of FILA in the fashion world, you can shop vintage FILA here.
