Street style connoisseurs and fuckboys rejoiced last week as Gosha Rubchinskiy unveiled his highly anticipated SS17 collection in Florence, Italy. The collection had the usual post-soviet streetwear elements one might expect from the Russian designer such as graphic tees, high socks, loose fitting tailored garments and a gaggle of teenage skater boys. What set this collection apart from Rubchinskiy’s previous work is the inclusion of 3 Italian clothing brands Fila, Kappa and Sergio Tacchini. Rubchinskiys style is very reminiscent of 90s fashion, he’s no stranger to incorporating popular vintage brands and logos into his work but this collection’s collaborations are definitely a step forward.
We were inspired to do a little shoot featuring Fila and Kappa here at our office, because at Frankie Collective we don’t believe in waiting for next season to wear vintage brands.
